Clive Christian 1872 Cologne by Clive Christian, Clive Christian 1872 for men is a spicy, aromatic concoction that creates a relaxed atmosphere of elegance and class. The opening notes are an eclectic and vibrant blend of citrus and fruity accords including mandarin orange, bergamot, lime, grapefruit, galbanum, petitgrain rosemary, lavender, pepper, pineapple, peach and nutmeg. The heart contains jasmine, cyclamen, clary sage, freesia and tagetes notes. Warm notes round out the base with amber, musk, olibanum, patchouli, Virginia cedar and French labdanum. This fragrance was designed by Geza Schoen.
In 1999, English designer and furniture maker Clive Christian acquired the classic Crown Perfumery house. This house was originally established in 1872 and named after the royal crown of Queen Victoria to signify sophistication and quality. After this business acquisition, the brand continued the tradition of developing luxury fragrances. The brand has over 50 perfumes and colognes in its catalogue. Christian was honored in 2012 as the recipient of an Order of the British Empire for his work as a Designer to the British Luxury Goods Industry.
